Personal Mode gateway not running in the background

I have a on premise gateway(personal mode) that only runs when the user logins to the desktop even though the system is always running. What can i do to make it run in the background even when the desktop is locked?

Facts:

On Premise Gateway(personal mode)

System is always running but not always logged it

That's how it is.  Switch to Enterprise (Standard) Gateway which uses a service.

We have python scripts integrated in queries. So will standard gateway support that?

No, it will not. Looks like you are stuck between a rock and a hard place...  Try not to use Python scripts.

Is there a way to make it run in background after logging out? Using windows scripting?

As the Power BI Personal Gateway is installed as an application it will always run using the account and password you're currently logged in.
