Personal Gateway suddenly stopped working

Hi,

 

I had my Personal Gateway installed and working properly, my scheduled refreshes were working great as well, and all of the sudden today I get the message of:

 

GWConf has stopped working

A problem caused the program to stop working correctly.

Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.

 

Nothing has changed with my computer, I hadn't tried to reinstall (I noticed when searching articles that somebody had the issue when reinstalling)...nothing really, just this morning it wouldn't run.

 

Any hints will be greatly appreciated.

I'm good as well, did nothing to fix it but it's working now.

Thanks for the info.

 

After several attempts this morning (03/13/2017), I seem to be up and running. The "Please wait while we check a few more things screen" took longer than usual to process. 

 

I appreciate everyone's responses.

I have the exact same issue. If anyone has any advice I would appreciate it as well. It worked yesterday. When I came into work today it wasn't working I didn't change anything.

Thanks for posting. Mine stopped working yesterday (03/09/2017) as well. I think it stopped shortly after updating to the newest version of Power BI Desktop, but can't be quite sure. 

 

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the personal gateway, and that didn't help. I can't find any solution online either. Very frustrating.

This is currently on the support page so they are working on the issue.

Users may not be able to sign in with their account into their Personal Gateway. Users who are already signed in are not currently impacted. Next update @03/10/2017 13:00 PST.
