I've updated my personal PowerBI gateway now a half-a-dozen times, yet the web portal refuses to recognize this. Every time I review my gateway connections, I see the "Please upgrade to benefit from latest features" dialogue prompt, which I select to download the new installer.
After running this and updating my personal gateway, I continue to receive these messages in the web portal. Why can't the web portal recognize I've updated!? I can't tell if these errors are legitimate or not.

You could uninstall gateway and delete local file of gateway. Then re-install the latest gateway.
