Payables Dashboard with Dynamics 365

Dear All,

 

I am assigned to create Vendor Aging Dashboard using live data from Dynamics 365 Online in Power BI. How can I get access to the data using get sources dynamics 365 Online option.

In the links i need to get the web api linkf from Developer Resources. I am unable to navigate to that. Can you please guide me. Is some admin rights needed.  

Also, i would like to connect to d365 online finance and operations web page / reports using my credentials just like we connect to any web page. is that possible?

Kindly help as i am new to d365 and power bi

You need to use the web services API. It is a different URL depending on CRM or Finance and Operations but sounds like you are using Finance and Operations.

That being said, I strongly recommend that you don't do that quite honestly. You should create a database and use the options within Dynamics to export your entities out to this other database and probably setup incremental refresh. This keeps the load off of your production instance of Dynamics 365.
