Hi
I have a requirement to log the utilisation of reports. I know this can be done via the Office 365 Audit logs. However, this method whilst providing quite a lot of detail, does not record the parameter values the user has chosen.
Is there a way to capture parameter values chosen at run time by the user?
I have heard it may be possible to feed the parameter list from a stored procedure, and the procedure can capture the parameter value and the Power BI ActivityId. ActivityId is also available in the Office 365 audit log, hence it would then be possible to match and report audit log data to the parameter value caputured and persisted by the stored procedure.
Thanks
is this a feature available now, or its still not possible get the parameters used in the logging of power bi services
Hi, @Anonymous
I'm afraid this is difficult to achieve.
What data source is used in the report and what type of parameters are set?
links about:Output Parameters in SQL Stored Procedure (tutorialgateway.org) Hope it helps.
