PPU storage limit question

Is the following allowed inside a single tenant?

- 4 pro licences, 1 PPU licence

- 20 shared workspace with 6GB data each, but only the PPU user has access to those workspaces

If the above is allowed, then am I right in saying that the PPU user can only share 1 workspace with a pro user at a time?

Content saved in PPU workspaces can only be shared with users who also have a PPU license so your Pro liceses won't be able to acess the content in PPU workspace. See https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Community-Blog/Power-BI-Premium-VS-Power-BI-Premium-Per-User/ba-p/2...

Hi, @Kurren

Based on your description, you want to see the size of the shared capacity left under this tenant, right?
There's no way to see this on Power BI at the moment.
First of all, the shared capacity is shared by one end user, and it is for a single user, a user has 10GB of shared capacity storage space, so on the Power Bi service, you can only see the size of the shared capacity used by individuals in this workspace, and there is no total number of shared capacity at the tenant level.
For the total amount of shared capacity in the tenant, you can only get the total amount by estimating, that is, viewing the total number of Pro licenses you allocated *10GB in the M365 admin center to see the total shared capacity you can use.

Thank you for your time and sharing, and thank you for your support and understanding of PowerBI!

Hi , @Kurren

As far as I know, whether Pro users can be shared or add access to a workspace depends on the capacity type of this workspace, for workspaces with shared capacity or Premium per capacity capacity, Pro users can be shared or added access to enter a workspace, you can add or share at will according to your needs, and if this workspace is a workspace with Premium per user capacity, Then only users with PPU licenses can access the content, Pro users cannot share or add access to this workspace.

For more information about the relationship between PPU capacity workspace users and capacity, please check this table and related official documents:

Many thanks. Two more questions please:

  1. The tenant storage limit is 10GB * the number of pro licences in the tenant. Is there anywhere we can see this limit for our tenant?
  2. Does this limit include pro licences that you assign to guest users?

Hi, @Kurren

Thanks for your quick response! Here are my understand for your question:

Q1:The tenant storage limit is 10GB * the number of pro license in the tenant. Is there anywhere we can see this limit for our tenant?

Yes , one pro user has 10GB storge in shared capacity. So in the tenant the total shared capacity storage is 10GB * [the count of the Pro licenses]. To see the limit in Power Bi , we just can see it in the "Manage personal storage" in Power Bi Service.

The top bar shows how much of your storage limit you’ve used.

The limit is that the sum of the storage the user used in shared capacity.

For more information, you can refer to :

Q2:Does this limit include pro licences that you assign to guest users?

Yes,this limit include pro licences that you assign to guest users.

Thanks @v-yueyunzh-msft . Question 1 wasn't quite what I was looking for: is there somewhere I can see how much *total* storage (across all users) has been used for our tenant?
