POWERBI APPS - Hide reports

Hi all,

I have created and published an powerBI app.

My app is fomred by 3 differents reports (3 differnt dataset, where which data set i have a security role level applied). I was wondering if there is anyway to hide a report from the app which the user don't have permission.

Example:

Reporting 1 = is open to USER A,B,C

Reporting 2 = is open to USER B,C,D

Reporting 3 = is open to USER C and E

So when :

- user  A access the app, i'd like them see just the reporting 1. the reporting 2 and 3 would be hidden (not exposed to them).

- user B would see reporting 1 and 2

- user C would se reporting 1, 2 , 3

Currently they can see the repoorting however the visuals is blank with info you do not right right to see the data, but i'd like to avoid it per user experience.

Any clue how can i achive it ?

@Anonymous I'm afraid this can be achieved in power bi service atm.

Hi @Anonymous ,

Currently there is no way to hide and show some reports in the same workspace/app.

What you can probably do is create different workspaces according to user's access but yes, this is going to be a very tedious task every time.

In your case: report 1 in 1 workspace: Provide access to this workspace only to user A, report 1 and 2 in another workspace: Provide access only to user B and so on.

Give a thumbs up if this post helped you in any way and mark this post as solution if it solved your query !!!

Hi @Anonymous ,

It's impossible to realize this idea in current version of Power BI Service(13.0.14643.53). I suggest you go to the Power App forum to ask.

Best regards,
Lionel Chen
