PDF export and Email distribution on Private link

Hi all,

I'm working on a POC to look if we can migrate to PB from an existing front-end tool.

In the POC we want to focus on Premium by capacity and with the focus that the PB environment can only be accessed from the company itself. Sow short answer private endpoint configuration and sow setup private link and disable public internet access.

But, one of the MUST have for the company is the ability to export the reports to PDF for distribution. Sow export to pdf and mail function to send it to a specific user group.

And here we have a problem.

• Exporting a report as PDF or PowerPoint is not supported when you enable Azure Private Link in Power BI.

• Email subscriptions are not supported when you enable Block Public Internet Access in Power BI

Is there another way, to get the security type of wishes AND have these capabilities?

for PDF generation and emailing with filters and slicers applied, to internal and external users. It should meet the requirements specified in your post.

What you want are not supported currently. They are the limitations listed in the official document when enable private link and block public link. For more details, you could refer to Private endpoints for accessing Power BI - Power BI | Microsoft Docs.

For such kind  of needs, the only thing we can do is just submitting these ideas or voting for similar ideas in Power BI Ideas. It’s a place the product group collects the suggestions from users to improve this product. It might be helpful to you.
