PBI scheduled Refresh is automatically disabled after 4 failures. Is there a way to override this?

From documentation: "If a scheduled refresh fails four times in a row, Power BI disables the refresh. Address the underlying problem, and then re-enable the scheduled refresh."

Question: Is there any way we can make Power BI NOT disable the Refresh even if it fails 4 times in a row..?

In our scenario here, we're refreshing the dataset from dataverse files in Datalake. These files are updated every now and again via TrickleSync using Azure Synapse Link (source system is Dynamics). Most of the time, we can read the files and refresh PowerBI no problem. But sometimes when there's a lot of data changes in Dynamics and data files are constantly being written to, Power BI Refresh fails with error: "Microsoft SQL: Cannot bulk load because the file https://xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.dfs.core.windows.net/dataverse-xxxxxxxxx-unqe9d63e8f78a44e6f8d6919944103a/pr... could not be opened.

There's no problem with the data or configuration, etc, and usually once the lock is released from Tricklesync, PowerBI will be able to read the files again. So we just want Power BI to keep trying, and not disable the scheduled refresh after 4 failures. Is there any way to achieve this, please? Thank you!

Hi @saifone

The number of scheduled refresh fail in Power BI Service is 4 currently and we cannot change it. If your refresh fails, you need to check the refresh history to find the problem, try to solve it and re-enable the scheduled refresh if it has been disabled.

Someone has already proposed the same idea in the Ideas forum , you can vote for him . If a feedback is high voted there by other customers, it will be promising that Microsoft Product Team will take it into consideration when designing the next version in the future.

Hello,

I haven't observed any communication regarding whether the dynamic restriction to the number of schedules before refreshing is being considered. Although I've already voted for the mentioned idea, we are eagerly anticipating its implementation. Many of our refreshes rely on loads, and four times seems quite limited.
