Within PBI Dataflow there is no existing connector for Azure Data Lake at the moment, but there are two (Gen1 & Gen2) availabe in PBI Desktop. Copying a query with a Source such as "Source = DataLake.Contents(..." from Power Query (Desktop) to Dataflow (Service) fails with an error message. Is there any workaround / other method to connect a PBI Dataflow to files in the Azure Data Lake?
Hi @FrankPreusker ,
Maybe you can take a look at following links about working with Azure data lake and power bi:
1. Link power bi dataflow to azure data lake storage.
Power BI Dataflows and Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2 Integration Preview
2. Connect Azure data lake storage by power bi Azure data lake store Gen1 connector.
Analyze data in Azure Data Lake Storage Gen1 by using Power BI
3. Power bi with Azure data lake storage Gen2.
Connect Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2 for dataflow storage (Preview)

Unfortunatelly, those options do not help. (1) and (3) are describing how to use your own Data Lake to store Dataflows. (2) is describing how to load data into Power BI Desktop from a Data Lake. > I need to have this option available from within Dataflow.
