Outlook distibution list not updating in Power BI subscriptions

Hi,

I have created a Power BI subscription to receive my report once a day. I use 2 distribution lists (created in Outlook) to receive these subscriptions (there are 17 people in one and 21 in the other). The problem is when I add a new person from the distribution list, it is not updating in Power BI. Also, when I remove a person from the distributon list, they are still seeing the daily reports.

Do I need to update something in Power BI ro refresh the list? Can anyone help?

Thanks!

Hi @pbartle ,

You can set up to 24 subscriptions for each report or dashboard, and you can provide a unique recipient, time and frequency for each subscription. Subscriptions that are set to "After Data Refresh" for your dashboard or report will only send emails after the first scheduled refresh.

In rare cases, email subscriptions may take longer than 15 minutes to reach the recipient. If this happens, we recommend that you run the data refresh and email subscription at different times to ensure timely delivery.

In your case, I recommend that you use another sample report for a small test. Create a report subscription, then edit the report on your desktop and republish it to the service. Check the subscription to see if the recipient can receive an email after the update.
