Opening report forces unwanted copy of entire content pack

Hi,

One of my customers complains that, every once in a while (probably after a content pack has been updated), when he wants to open a PowerBI report from his 'My workspace' (from the black bar at the left side) a message appears that a copy will be made of the content pack. He can choose Cancel on this popup but, if he does so, the report doesn't open. So if he wants to see the report, a copy must be made. The customer is not interested in having a copy of the content pack: it only litters his workspace.

I cannot reproduce this behaviour but I've seen it happen on his laptop.

Has anyone any idea what triggers this behaviour en how we can avoid it?

Thanks,

Ojke.

@Ojke,

Have you solved your issue by now? If you have, could you please mark the correct answer to finish the thread? You contribution will be much appreciated.

Hi Ojke,

I have made a test on this issue but couldn't reporduce it. The report in content pack can be open on my side. Does this issue always occur?

Regards,

Jimmy Tao

Hi, Sorry for the late response, there was an issue with my login. I am not able to reproduce it, but I've seen it happen with someone else's PowerBI account. That person didn't do anything exotic at the time. It doesn't happen always, I think whenever I have published an update on the content pack but that is not confirmed. And it happens at more than one user. KR, Ojke.
