Hi Team, I'm facing this error while creating a dataflow With a blank query.  Does anyone can help me What should I correct exactly.  Data is there in Essbase Cube and I want to build a dataflow with the same.  Appriricates Your advice. Thanks 

 

Error

Only admins of an on-premise data gateway can create connections. To use this connection, switch to an on-premise data gateway that you are an admin of, or ask your on-premise data gateway admin to add you as a user of this connection.

hi  @Anonymous 

I have tested on my side, it works well.

For the error massage, please check if you are in the admin of this gateway.

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/data-integration/gateway/service-gateway-manage#manage-gateway-admins

If still have the problem, you'd better create a support ticket to get more further.

Go to https://support.powerbi.com. Scroll down and click "CREATE SUPPORT TICKET".

Did you create the gateway? If not, you need to get ahold of the person who did and have them add permissions for you.

@Greg_Deckler Thanks for the swift reply!. 

 

Yes, I Created the Gateway and it successfully running. The issue with this below error where I'm facing While creating a dataflow with Blank query. 

Well now, that is odd. I would double check the permissions on that connection in the gateway. I am going to assume that you are using the same account to try to create this dataflow that you are to create and admin the gateway. I will have to research if perhaps there is some limitation of Dataflows that might be causing this. 

 

You could check the Issues forum here:

https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Issues/idb-p/Issues

And if it is not there, then you could post it.

If you have Pro account you could try to open a support ticket. If you have a Pro account it is free. Go to https://support.powerbi.com. Scroll down and click "CREATE SUPPORT TICKET".
