Hi,
I’m hoping someone can help. I have installed and configured the On-Premise Gateway but I’m having a few issues with it.
To give some background its installed on a server (that’s on all the time)
During Install I used my email address that’s a part of my work AD account to register it.
I published an import model that used CSV files as data sets. I added these CSV file as data sources within the Gateway (using the exact file path for both the gateway and desktop)
I set up schedule refresh (using the one Perm Data Gateway option) as a quick test and it worked but for some reason my scheduled refresh keeps on failing because the gateway keeps on going offline.
To explain further:
I set it to refresh in the morning. I log off and shut down my computer at the end of the day (which should be fine as it’s not a personal gateway) and when I log back on to my computer in the morning the gateway is offline.
I am unsure whn exactly it does go offline but i know if i go back into the gateway and select cehck now for network status it goes back online
Does anyone have any ideas why this is happening?
Thanks,
Boycie92

Hi @Boycie92,
AFAIK, gateway need to receive refresh requests from power bi service and send data any time, so this device should not often turn off or offline for network.
>> I log off and shut down my computer at the end of the day (which should be fine as it’s not a personal gateway) and when I log back on to my computer in the morning the gateway is offline.
Please modify your gateway service to auto running and manually run it if it stopped.
