Hi Guys,
I would like to understand the concept of gateways, let us assume a scenario that i have configured a gateway using o365 offering account and not actual work email address. Is it possible that gateway would work once i switch the offering account to actual work email address.
Also is it actually possible to switch offering account to actual work account o365.

Hi @vishy0501 ,
When sign in the gateway, you need to sign in with either a work account or a school account. This account is an organization account. If you signed up for an Office 365 offering and didn't supply your work email address, your address might look like nancy@contoso.onmicrosoft.com. Your account is stored within a tenant in Azure AD. In most cases, your Azure AD account’s User Principal Name (UPN) will match the email address.
What's more, there are some limitations for the types of Power BI email address account:
If you switch your account in Power BI Service, you may need to switch the account of gateway accordingly . If your actual work email address account don't meet the account limitations above, the gateway won't work.
You can learn more about gateway: On-premises data gateway.
Best Regards,
Amy
