Not able to connect to Source

Hi community,

I've two queries and need your help regarding it.

1) I've published a dashboard on service with 3 datasets Excel,SQL and API

recently I added API in dataset.

When I'm triggering a scheduled refresh I'm getting following error:

Niraj_vora0106_0-1665118897504.png

Before integrating API, scheduled refresh was working properly on Excel and SQL database.

2) Just to check if API link has issues or not, I created a separate blank / test file in Power BI Desktop and imported the API link in Desktop.

After publishing in Service, scheduled refresh also worked surprisingly.

I'm not able to understand why it's not working in my main Dashboard?

Ps: Excel and SQL gateway is linked and working properly, after API integration i'm facing issues

Please help I'm confused and not able to find a solution for this issue.

Hi @Niraj_vora0106 ,

Based on your description, it may be that the excel, sql and API privacy levels are not set the same in Power BI Desktop and Power BI Services. Make sure they have the same privacy level security.

More details, refer to below document:

Also, if your gateway version is not the latest, please download and install the latest version of the gateway and test again.

If the problem is still not resolved, please provide detailed error information and let me know immediately. Looking forward to your reply.

Best Regards,
Henry
