No option to delete one of the datasets in My Workspace

There is no Delete option in the action menu for one of the datasets in My Workspace.  How can I delete it?

When I click the ellipsis ("..."), the popup menus shows two options: Analyze in Excel (active) and Quick Insights (grayed out).  My other dataset in My Workspace has Settings, Rename, Delete, and the rest.

Both datasets are from 2016.

The broken dataset shows it refreshed on 9/14/2019 ~8 pm and will do so again a week later.

The other shows last Refreshed 6/16/2017, and no Next Refresh.

The broken dataset has two ACTIONS: Create Report, View Related.  Both actions seem to work fine.

The other dataset also has Refresh now and Schedule refresh

There is a related report, which looks just fine in the workspace, but when I click the trash can to delete it, then click Delete in the "Are you sure" dialog, the dialog closes, but no change to the report.

Note the broken dataset is a live connection, and the other is not.

hi, @tlaresch

This means that this dataset is related to the dataset of another workspace, so you need to delete the dataset in that workspace then it will be deleted too.

For example:

I publish report "A" into one app workspace "Team", Now, I use power bi desktop to connect to the dataset A in workspace "Team"

3.JPG

and use it create a new report "B".  Then you publish the report to my workspace, It will create a dataset "A" as this type dataset. and it has two ACTIONS: Create Report, View Related.

So if you want to delete it, you need to delete the dataset A in workspace "Team", the it will be deleted too.
