New workspace, cannot pin a visualization from colleague's report to any dashboard

My colleague and I are both "Members" of a "new" workspace.  I cannot pin any visualization from any of his reports to any dashboard.  I get "Sorry, can't pin this visualization yet.  Please try again later."  I can pin visualizations from my reports.  This has been happening for several days.  We do not have this problem in the "old" workspace environment.

Hi, Cherry,

I can pin visualizations from my reports to any dashboard, no matter who created the dashboard.  I cannot pin visualizations from any of my colleague's reports to existing dashboards or one I create on the fly.  The same goes for him, vice versa.  Again, no problem in the old style workspace.  Thank you.

Hi @jgaines3,

Could you Pin live page of your colleague's report to the dashboard successfully?

If you still have this issue for Pin live page, you'd better create a support ticket in Power BI Support to get further help.

In addition, you could refer to the workaround of this similar thread which may help you.

Cherry

My colleague and I started from scratch and followed your sequence.  Please note that we created the new app workspace according to https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/service-create-the-new-workspaces. We still have the same problem.  We created another app workspace of the "old" type and we do not have the problem.  Thank you.

Hi @jgaines3,

For your issue, it seems that I cannot pin any visualization from any of his reports to any dashboard.

By my tests, I still cannot reproduce your scenario.

Could you pin the visual in your report to the dashboard in the new app workspace or can your collegue pin the visualization from any of his own reports to any dashboard?

Best  Regards,

Cherry

Hi @jgaines3,

By my test, I cannot reproduce your issue for new app workspace.

Here is my test flow.

1. Create the new app workspace.

2. Add two members, Member1 and Member2.

3. Member1 publishs the test report to the new app workspace.

4. Member2 sign in Power BI Service and open the test report in new app workspace, then pin a visual to the new dashbord.

5. Member2 could Pin the visual to the dashboard successfully.

Please check if you have the same flow as mine.

Best Regards,

Cherry
