New user cannot add new data sources to on-premise gateway

Hi all

I have been running the Power BI service platform (PPU license) for a client for the past year. I am in the process of handing over the platform to a new hire.

He has his own account and has taken over all the datasets in the workspaces, I have given him Admin access to all the workspaces and Owner access to all the data sources set up on the gateway.

We have now run into an issue where he is able to connect new datasets to existing data sources but he cannot create any new data sources on the gateway.
I have no idea what is missing and hoping someone can point me in the direction of how to go about giving him the necessary permission to create new data sources.

Please advise! Many many thanks

Hi @HB13 ,

I think you need to set up the user on the gateway itself. From https://app.powerbi.com/groups/me/gateways,

go to ... next to the gateway name, then click "Manager Users" and add the user as the appropriate type.
