We propose installing a new gateway and cluster ( we cant add it to the old as its down).
Will we have to manually do all datasources ahgain for the new cluster. Any advice on the best way to proceed very welcome our IT seeem stuck despite direct MS inviovement.

Assuming that the gateway definitions still linger in the cloud you should be able to run a few well placed API calls to retrieve all connection details (including the connection users). You can then use that information to recreate the connections in your new gateway cluster.
Do you still have the recovery key for your old gateway cluster?
Thanks I ended up doing it manually. We do have the old recovery key - it seems as dead as a dodo though, originally an update version failed , now it seems completely broken in every way.
