I am trying to refresh dataset using POST method and got this error while running PS script.
# This sample script calls the Power BI API to progammtically trigger a refresh for the dataset # It then calls the Power BI API to progammatically to get the refresh history for that dataset # For full documentation on the REST APIs, see: # https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/mt203551.aspx # Instructions: # 1. Install PowerShell (https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/powershell/scripting/setup/installing-windows-powershell) and the Azure PowerShell cmdlets (https://aka.ms/webpi-azps) # 2. Set up a dataset for refresh in the Power BI service - make sure that the dataset can be # updated successfully # 3. Fill in the parameters below # 4. Run the PowerShell script # Parameters - fill these in before running the script! # ===================================================== # An easy way to get group and dataset ID is to go to dataset settings and click on the dataset # that you'd like to refresh. Are you trying to use this against a Live connection?
I am trying to use it with Directquery dataset. Basically, would like to minimize 15 mins auto refresh and trying to refresh dataset every 5 mins by calling refresh endpoint.
Thanks..

Thanks, @Eric_Zhang & @Greg_Deckler for the prompt reply...
I have schedule cache refresh for 15 mins (want it to go by 5 mins but min option here is 15)
Is there a way I can refresh directquery dataset every 5 mins?
Highly appreciate your help.
My understanding of DirectQuery is that you are live querying the data set at the time of report rendering. However, that probably really means querying the cache of the dataset as you indicate. If you can't get the cache to update faster than 15 minutes and you need more immediacy, the only other thing that I can figure is if you can create a streaming data feed and wire it up to Power BI.
