Need help to use direct query with spark

Hi All,

I am trying to publish reports using spark connector and directquery with standard protocol. where spark is located on on prem cluster.

Issue I am facing with this approach is when reports are published, they are not visible on power bi service and gives errors such as "Cannot load model
Couldn't load the model schema associated with this report. Make sure you have a connection to the server, and try again."

Where enterprise gateway is correcyly configured and is online, also data source was connected.

Interesting find is when same report is made using import instead of spark, it is visible and also refreshed through gateway.

Also unfortunately all the examples I found are on sql server/SSRS. Smiley Sad

Any pointers on this are appricaitaed.

Thanks,

Kedar

Hi @kedarp,

Could you have refered below steps to configure the connection for direct query?

https://docs.databricks.com/user-guide/bi/power-bi.html
