Mysterious Orange box around certain visuals when you first land on a page

I uploaded a new report to powerbi service and a strange thing is happening. When you switch between pages, one object or in some cases one group is highlighted as if it is selected. As soon as you click anywhere else on your screen, it goes away. (I had to use the delay snapshot even to get a screenshot of it)

Here's the behavior:

  • Open the report, one object is outlined on first page. as soon as you click off, its not selected/outlined anymore. when you click on the object, nothing happens
  • When you go to page 2 and 3 , the same thing happens to other specific  objects or group of objects on those pages.
  • When you go back from one page to another, it happens again. It is always the same object on the same page.
  • Additional info - I am using bookmarks and the bookmark navigator (forced selected) on pages 2 of the pages. The objects are not part of the selected objects for the bookmark in two of the cases, in one case the group is part of the bookmark.

Any ideas?

Random matrix object on page 2, not part of bookmarks

pg 1 - matrix (single object).png

Group of shape and 2 counters, part of bookmark navigation

pg 2 - avg months (group).png

Group of 2 slicers on page 3, not part of bookmark navigation:

pg 3 - Milestone slicers (group).png
