We have a report that is quick without RLS and 10x slow with it
Is there any known issue we should look at?

Hi @v-alq-msft - thanks for writing, I appreciate you taking the time
We found that in Composite mode, performance was incredibly slow (60 seconds) while in DirectQuery it was good enough (10x faster)
Hi, @Anonymous
I have two questions:
1. Which data sources are you using?
2. Are you using import mode or DirectQuery mode?
If you are using Import mode, then it will run the query on the Imported data. If you are using DirectQuery, it will send a query to the underlying data source when a user opens or interacts with a report. It depends on the performance of the data source.
For further information, you may refer to the document .
Best Regards
Allan
