Good day,
I remember, some time ago we had scheduled hourly cache refresh ("Sheduled cache refresh" in Dataset report settings).
Now for mixed mode reports we don't have such option available. And PowerBI switches to that mode as soon as additional table added in to it.
Is there a possiblity to enable it without enabling "Query Caching" that consumes significant paid resources?
Thank you in forward.

Hi @Anonymous ,
In general, for Composite models, the advantages and disadvantages associated with Import and DirectQuery, depending on how each table is configured. But it may reduce the size of dataset and duration time of refresh because some table use direct query instead of Import. Please refer to this document about the Composite models: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/service-dataset-modes-understand#composite-mode
Best regards,
Hi @Anonymous ,
Are you using the composite mode that have Import Mode and Direct Query Tabel in the dataset? based on my test, We can configure the scheduled refresh on it, the cache of titles will refresh after refresh complete, we can configure maxium 8 times on shared capacity or use on-demand refresh.
Best regards,
What benefits mixed mode gives, BTW? I seen some performance improvement during import.
