Logon Power BI Service with G Suite

Dear all,

Appreciate if you can shed some light on the following item.

1. My company is running G suite as business platform, where users have domain name as @abc.com.

2. We want to adopt Power BI, but since we do not have AAD, so a new tenant has provisioned for us, where the domain is @abc.onmicrosoft.com.

3. We do not want users to maintain 2 set of user accounts.

Is there a way to setup single sign-on (SSO) by allowing user login Power BI Service with our G suite account?

I went through a number of articles, especially on the following, but none of them is conclusive. Any help is appreciated.

@collinq thanks for your sharing. I did came across these sites before.

Anyway, for sharing purpose in case anyone else have the same scenario. I found a guide on how can we setup G suite to O365 SSO, and with that, we can also directly logon to Power BI with Google account once we got the federation up and running. I have tested the concept and seems it is working fine.

HI @wunujiang ,

I don't believe that there is a nice and clean way around this.  I did see this link but I think that is about getting to the data and not to the sign on part. Integrate G Suite to Power BI in minutes - Skyvia

I ran across this article that appears to be a third party tool that might work:

Power BI Single Sign-On | Power BI SSO | SAML Solution (miniorange.com)
