Hi,
I am currently creating resource utilization reports in Power BI desktop and provide the reports to a couple of our employees via Power BI Services in MS teams and SharePoint online. The data is fetched from a couple of Excel files hosted in SharePoint.
My question: The data is entered by all employees in the excel files continuously and we want to be able to see data points frozen at specific time intervals (e.g. once per week or per month). The target of this would be to see what the planned utilization across different projects looked like in retrospective (e.g. in May the planned utilization in Q3-4 averaged 60%, in June it averaged 70% etc.) and to get an idea how the planning changed over time.
Is there any feasible way to realize this using Power BI capabilities? Of course I could also write some VBA macros in Excel to save the history of the input data but this would ruin usability of the Excel files and would necessitate manually opening the files and running the macro.
Thanks and best regards, David
