Lock the Navigation Pane

Hello,

I'm using the new Navigation experience in Power BI Service. I expand the Navigation Pane, go to a Workspace, then click a Dashboard or report. When I do, the Navigation Pane then COLAPSES! How do I LOCK the Navigation Pane so it stays open and PINNED in that position and DOES NOT hide itself every time I click on something?

Hi @ToddChitt ,

Your demand is a good idea, while it is not supported to implement in Power BI currently. You can post your new idea in Idea Forum , to improve the Power BI.

It is a place for customers provide feedback about Microsoft Office products . What’s more, if a feedback is high voted there by other customers, it will be promising that Microsoft Product Team will take it into consideration when designing the next version in the future.

Best Regards,

Amy

@v-xicaiSorry, in my opinion, this is not a 'feature request' that would go through User Voice, as much as I love that site. I see this as a BUG and have submitted a Support Ticket. If MS comes back and tells me that it is "by design" then it's simply poor design specs that someone didn't think through all the way. The USER should decide when that Navigation Pane gets collapsed, NOT the service.

It's like having a car that, when you turn on the air conditioner, it automatically rolls up all your windows and closes all your doors! Worse yet, it's like when Excel stips out the leading zeros in Zip Code data!

@ToddChitt

The behaviour is not occuring in "old look" and it is appearing for me also in "new look".

Please raise a support ticket to investiagte.
