Load filter values

I have a report which contains a filter on Material Numbers. Now the filter is being used by various people who each set their specific values in that filter. What all have in common is that they work with a rather large set of Material numbers and instead of selecting those Material numbers one by one via standard filter functionality, I wonder whether it is possible to load filters and pss them to the report. Example: User A works with 100 Material Numbers, which change on a weekly basis, so it is never the same 100 material numbers but next week it may be a different set of 95 material numbers. Ideally, User A would be enabled to load this large number of Material Numbers into the filter of the report. Any ideas/proposals on how to handle this scenario?

I guess Query Parameter would help, you can filter the material numbers before loading.

There once was a custom filter visual that accepted lists of values. It is no longer on the market place but you may still find it on the interwebs.  Or write your own custom visual.
