List parameters (m query) not shown as drop-down in Power BI Service

Hi, I have created a series of list parameters in my report which I want to have as drop down selectors. In PBI Desktop it works fine, but when I publish to PBI Service they show up as free text boxes. Why don't these parameters do not show up as drop down lists and how can I fix this? Thanks in advance.

Hi @ROYMMM ,

This feature is currently only supported on Power BI Desktop. For it on Power BI Service, I suggest you to submit a new idea on Power BI Ideas.

It is a place for customers to provide feedback about Power BI.
What's more, if a feedback is highly voted there by other customers, it will be promising that Microsoft Product Team will take it into consideration when designing the next version in the future.

Best Regards,

Icey

Hi @ROYMMM ,

This is by design.

You can review and edit some parameter settings in the Power BI service -- not parameters that restrict the available data, but parameters that define and describe acceptable values.

Reference: Review and edit parameters in Power BI service.

But what is the point then of having the option to create a list of values as a parameter if you can't use it in PBI Service?
