Linked datasets - little to no documentation

Hi everyone,

I'm working with a linked dataset in the Power BI service. Basically what we did is, we made a connection to a Microsoft Teams in a new app workspace, uploaded the file of the dataset to the service via Sharepoint connection and then made other reports based on this dataset in other app workspaces. We get a neat little linked icon to see which is great.

However, I was wondering if there is some more documentation available about these linked datasets.

I can find some stuff about the new experience of sharing datasets across workspaces and shared datasets but these linked datasets don't seem to be documented very well.

We're receiving some user errors in our app - and we believe the reason could be the linked dataset. However, with no documentation to verify I can't be sure.

(Some errors that we get seem to have to do with the permissions on the dataset, as well as visuals that have stopped working).

Thanks for help!

Hi @Irisvb ,

Do you mean link entities? If this is a case, you can take a look at following documents about link entities and computed entities:

Link entities between dataflows in Power BI

Using computed entities on Power BI Premium
