Limit users ability to view reports - dashboard access only

Hello,

Can somebody tell me if it is possible to give users ability to see reports (read-only) and have ability to pin visuals to their own dashboards. It seems like if workspace setup as read-only, it won't allow to create dashboards.

Ultimately the goal is to make sure that reports are build by developers/report writers without ability of end users to change reports, but at the same time would give end users ability to mix and match visuals from different reports to their own dashboard.

Any help is highly appreciated.

Thank you very much.

Hi @rustykar,

>>It seems like if workspace setup as read-only, it won't allow to create dashboards.

Which type of share you use? Content pack or group?

If it is group, current power bi not support to modify or reference the read-only group report; If you share it with content pack, you can make a copy of original dataset and works on it.

In addition, you can share it to ideas forum.
