Large Datasets

I have a dataset that is 10MB and I read to change the default storage format to large, but mine is greyed out?  Or change the settings to premium capacity but it is also greyed...

Do I have the wrong version of BI to enable these settings? I have attached screenshots

Thanks

Hi. You need to pay for premium capacity in order to use large dataset. There is a process and license in the middle, is not that easy as click and have it unless you have your contract ready.

10 MB won't be a problem for Power Bi. Large datasets is a feature to handle data models with more than 10Gb.

Hope that helps,

Hi @Anonymous

Large Dataset is a feature and capability which is supported in Power BI Premium. You need to pay for Power BI Premium if you want to use the features and capabilities only avaible in Premium.

If your organization already has Premium capacity, it is probably because your Power BI Admins have limited users' permissions to assign workspaces into Premium capacity.

Since your dataset is 10 MB, you don't need to use large dataset feature currently.
