Job tips

Good morning dear,
I want to tell you that in the company I work with we have been implementing Power BI for a year. It is a software company for car dealers worldwide.
I need advice or a way of working that maybe someone knows or already implemented, the work that is done is as follows:
At first we created a standard Application in power bi services, then the external users of the dealership entered with their user to power bi services, went to Applications and made a copy of the standard app and with it they worked in the user's own work area . Now, the theme is that this standard application, our company does not have it closed in terms of developments, but things are being added, for example new measures or visual objects, and here is the problem of the question. When we add a new measure, the user has to download the app again to be able to see that measure and to be able to use it, (because in the previous version the measure is not in the fields part) but if I downloaded the app version first standard and make many changes, and add more visuals, etc. You will not have all these modifications in the new version that was copied, and you have to move everything developed from one version to another (from the previous app to the new app copied from Applications). The issue is that in power bi services you cannot create measures ... so what solution or better way of working do you advise me ?????
Every time we are having more clients who want our app ... and the way we work is becoming very uncomfortable, but we did not find another solution. At first we thought about uploading the .pbix to the client's workspace, but for this we need the username and password of each client, and it is not good to have the password of experienced clients.
They help me!!????
thanksssssss !!!!

Hi @ClaudioL ,

For your first question, there may be no other solution if you need to add new visual objects in Power BI Service. And it is not supported to create measures in Power BI Service currently . There is an idea about this issue, please vote it up, Measures in Power BI Service, and you can add your comments there to improve Power BI and make this feature coming sooner.

For your second question, you may share the report with the clients, see Share Power BI dashboards and reports with coworkers and others . While you need a Power BI Pro license. Your recipients also need Power BI Pro licenses, unless the content is in a Premium capacity.

Best Regards,

Amy
