Issue with dataset publishing in app

Hi Team,

I would like to publish only dashboard or only report, and not the dataset in APPs.

Is it possible? 

Currently dataset is also getting publish while publishing any dashboard or report to the app and users are able to access the dataset.

If I understand your requirement correctly that you want to share the app only include dashboard and reoport without datasets?

If it is, I'm afraid we cannot achieve that in Power BI Service currently.

Actually, the reports and the dashboards are all based on datasets, if we don't have the datasets, the reports and the dashboards will gone.

Is there any other ways to restricts users from accessing the datasets.

And can we get this options added in upcoming Power BI update in near future.

By my tests, it seems that if you share reports or dashboards directly, it won't share the related datasets.

I'm not sure, but you could submit your idea in Power BI ideas Forum and add your comments there to improve Power BI and make this feature coming sooner.
