Issue with Publishing PBIX File to new work space

I created a new work space and was able to publish a PBIX with imported data but when I attempt to publish a PBIX using a live connection to a SSAS Tabular instance I get an error stating that I don't have the appropriate privileges. Has anyone else experienced this?

Hello,

1) Do you have on-prem Data Gateway installed?

2) Can you create a simple PBIX with no connection (like 'Enter data' option) and publish it to that workspace? Let me know if it is successful.

Regards,
Ruslan

I do have a on on-prem GW installed. Per my original note, I can publish an imported PBIX and successfully refresh it via the on-prem GW. I only get the error when I publish a PBIX using a live connection against our SSAS tabular model.

@bkundrat,

Did you try to import this file as PBIX from PBI Service?

And I suggest you get traces.

1) Go to PBI Desktop and enable tracing.

2) Run Fiddler tracing

3) Try to publish one more time

See logs in step 1 and 2

Regards,
Ruslan
