Hello,
we encountered an issue on the visuals that use a JSON filter, a week ago. These visuals don't get an update on any kind of Selection or Highlight, as it was before. E.g. using a pie chart to pass selection to a visual with JSON filter has no effect, where other visuals get an update.
This is a major drawback in the usability, I hope it will be fixed soon.
The desktop versions still working as intended, this issue affects only the online Power BI Service.
Best Regards,
Asamah Shad.
Hi @Capono,
What is JSON filter as you mentioned? Would you please provide more description about your scenario so that I can test on my side?

Hi @v-yulgu-msft,
thanks for your reply.

I am referring to the above filter function. Visuals that use this kind of filter, do not interact on a filter that is applied by https://github.com/Microsoft/PowerBI-visuals/blob/master/Visual/Selection.md or https://github.com/Microsoft/PowerBI-visuals/blob/master/Capabilities/Highlighting.md in a Power BI Service. The Microsoft attribute Slicer uses, for instance, an advanced filter.
You just need to use the pie chart or any table that uses the Selection Filter and see that visuals that use AdvancedFilterApi do not react on the Power BI Service.
