Is there a way to see who has already shared a dashboard and whom it has been shared with?

Hi Team,

Is there a way to see who has already shared a dashboard and whom it has been shared with?

Any help on this is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Hi @v-sadadi,

You can consider to enable auditing functionality in the Power BI admin portal. When this feature is turned on, Power BI will start logging various activities that your users perform in Power BI. You are able to search audit log to know if one dashboard is shared and recipient email of the shared dashboard. However, please note the following things when using auditing functionality.

1. The auditing feature in Power BI is in preview and is available in all data regions except those in Australia and Europe.
2. Auditing is a Power BI Pro feature and auditing events are only available for Power BI Pro users.
3. The audit logs take up to 48 hours to show up in the O365 Security & Compliance Center.

The audit feature is still in preview, if you have any feedback about it, please add your vote and comments in this idea: https://ideas.powerbi.com/forums/265200-power-bi-ideas/suggestions/13279371-better-auditing-of-user-... .

There is a way if you have an access to the dashboard. click on the Option menu to the right of the Dashboard name (in the left side-bar) and select SHARE. This will open the "Share dashboard" side-bar on the right, now click on the "Access" tab.

In this Access you can see to whom all the dashboard has been shared with and who have accessed it.

Hi Ayush,

I know about this option. But lets say I have shared the Dashboard to a user A and A shares the same dashboard with few other users (B,C, etc). I want ot know who shared the dashboard with whom and whether it has been already shared with user B.

Thanks

In our audit log, it doesn't always show who the recipient of a shared dashboard is. Is that correct behaviour?
