Interactive features in Power BI reports embeded in web application

Hello,

Recentky a client asked me if we can embed the PowerBI reports in their in-house Web application and perform all the operations that we can do in PowerBI service - like changing the Chart types, Apply/change the Filter values etc.

When I embedded the PowerBI dashboards in Dynamics365 I can see the filters but I donot see the Visualizations pane to change the chart type randomly.

Please share your thoughts/experience on this.

Thanks,

Ajay

You can look at using full Power BI Embedded.

Hi Smoupre,

Thanks for your response.

I checked few blogs & videos, could not find any screenshots wherein PowerBI lets the user change the Visualization type(List to Graph or Grid etc) randomly when embedded in the custom Web application - what I am looking for is as highlighted in red in the screenshot below.

@Anonymous,

As other post, in Power BI, you can use Power BI Embedded feature to achieve your requirement.

What you need to note is to create an access token that gives user the ability to both view and edit a report, for more datils, please review this article. In Edit mode, users are able to change visual type.
