Hello,
I have an issue on Power BI regarding the incremental refresh.
I have followed the procedure given by Microsoft (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/service-premium-incremental-refresh) with the parameters :
Start range : 01/01/2018 00:00:00
End range : 15/01/2019 00:00:00
Incremental parameters :
Here below the steps I followed :
First, I load the table "Historic" (excel file) which the values of the Report Date/Backlog L1/Backlog L2/On hold by L1/On hold by L2/Modification Date columns (see capture below).
Then, each day after, we upload the same file which contain only the daily figures – see below.
The aim of the incremental refresh is to keep the historic datas and complete them with the new values of the day and this every day.
That work for the first refresh but for the others,
The days after, the daily refresh replace the Day before upload – see below:
Can you help me please?
Sincerely
Luca BOROME
Hi @Anonymous,
In your scenario, the incremental refresh kept the historic data before 13/01/2019 while it override daily record after that date, right? Have you tried re-publishing the report to service? Have you tried to change the value for "Refresh rows in the last"?
Regards,
Yuliana Gu
Hi,
Yes it is exactly that what is happen ! I re-publish my report many times and made many tests with the incremental refresh parameters (1 year/1year, 1 year/2 days, 1 year/1 day) and this doesn't work...
As you have stated to refresh the last 2 days that is exactly what is happening, it is bring in the new record for current day and noting that the record for previous day has been deleted and so deletes that record in the target. Leave the previous day in also or refresh only 1 day.
