Incremental refresh with data from SAP BW

Dear all,

I have a report PBI with the data sources from SAP BW.

Issue: after publish to Power BI service, the auto refresh performance is not good. It takes around 40 minutes to refresh data.

Testing: I tried to apply incremental refresh to store data 1 year, refresh last 5 days data but it still takes around 40 minutes to refresh data in Power BI Service. However, if I run report (with incremental setup) in Power BI Desktop, it takes only 10 minutes.

Support need: Could you please share your experience with incremental for SAP BW data source? are there any solutions for this issue?

Thanks much for your support!

Wow ! How were you able to setup an incremental refresh on SAP BW data ? Could you please share as  I have been trying to do it for a project too.

Hi,

I experienced the same behaviour from several months (at least since february-march 2020)

First refresh after publication: between 30 minutes to 110 minutes

Second and next refreshes : around 5 to 10 minutes

Compared to Power BI Desktop where it takes always less than 5 minutes
