Incremental Refresh to load All data once again

Hi All,
I want to refresh all the data from the database. When Increment Refresh enabled at the first time it will load all the data.
But later it will load only incremental basis.
Now I want to load once again all the Data from the database without affecting Incremental refresh. Is it possible??

Thanks

Amith D

Hi @Anonymous ,

Check below pictures. Turn off the Incremental Refresh then click 'refresh now'. After the refresh was complete, turn on the button again.

Dear Jay, Community Support!

Just to be sure that I understand this solution right. So the suggested flow here is:

  1. take the original file in power bi desktop, and switch off the incremental refresh at all the table
  2. publish the file back to the service
  3. refresh the data in the service (with the limited data based on the parameter values)
  4. set up again the incremental refresh in the power bi desktop
  5. publish the file back to the service
  6. hit the refresh for the new incremental load

I am asking because I didn't find any option to do these in the service itself.

If it is the case then I would rather say it is not an acceptable solution rather a pretty dirty workaround 🙂

Hi @Anonymous ,

Just go into the Service, disable the incremental refresh.  Manually refresh the whole thing.  Then, after the refresh is done, turn back on the incremental refresh.

I would appreciate Kudos if my response was helpful. I would also appreciate it if you would Mark this As a Solution if it solved the problem. Thanks!
