Inconsistency on Unique viewers' count

Hi,

When I go through the Usage Metrics Report, I'm confused about the statistic on Unique Users.

In Fig.1, I see there's only one user so the Unique viewer = 1.

However, on the perspective of 'Pages', I found that there are two users who actually view the report pages. See Fig. 2.

I drill down the chart and found that there are two users indeed. See Fig. 3.

I'm a little bit confused since in my understanding, unique users counts should be consistent regardless of 'Users' or 'Pages' perspectives. If there are acutually two viewers, they should all be counted in the Unique viewers statistics, right?

Looking forward to your reply.

Have a nice day!

Hi @Alvin18 ,

If you suspect inconsistent data records or refresh issues, you can choose to delete the existing Usage Metrics report dataset and re-run View Usage Metrics again to generate a new dataset and its associated Improved Usage Metrics report.
Follow these steps to delete the dataset and then create a new data refresh report:

  1. Open the workspace that contains the report for which you want to reset the Usage Metrics Report dataset.
  2. In the black header bar at the top, select the Settings icon, then select Settings.
  3. Switch to the Datasets tab, and select the Usage Metrics Report dataset.
  4. Copy the workspace and dataset IDs from the URL displayed in the address bar of your browser.
  5. In your browser, go to https://docs.microsoft.com/rest/api/power-bi/datasets/deletedatasetingroup, and select the Try It button.
  6. Sign in to Power BI, paste the Workspace ID in the groupId text box and the dataset ID into the datasetId text box, and then select Run.
  7. Under the Run button, verify that the service returns a Response Code of 200. That code indicates that the dataset and its associated usage metrics reports have been deleted successfully.
