I installed 2 gateways on my machine. The first is a personal one. When I try to schedule a refresh, the personal gateway option is selected and the other is grayed out and can't be selected.
Right now I'm just in the play stage with an Excel file on my one-drive. I'd just like to know the logic. Also, why doesn't it consider my one-drive in the cloud?

Hi @sonisick
This is because the files are stored locally on your C:Drive which is required in the Power BI Service to be able to connect to the file stored on your C:Drive (where the oneDrive files are located)
You could change the connection to connect directly to your files online.
Hi @sonisick
You can only have one version of the gateway connected to the Power BI Service at one time. I would suggest installing the standard gateway that works well.
In order to connect to OneDrive you can connect to that via the Power BI Service and should not need a gateway.
Should I uninstall the personal gateway and how?
And why does a refresh of a dataset from the service require a gateway for an excel file on one-drive?
