How to work around limitations around refreshing Sharepoint Online Datasets?

Hi all,

Last week my team and I created an app in Power Automate and Logic Apps to create teams. To view the run history, we created a PowerBi dashboard in which we visualize a log we stored on SharePoint Online as a list. We tried to update the dataset via PowerBi but there is a limit of 6-8 refreshes a day. We also tried to update the dataset via Logic Apps by adding the connector to the creation flow. However, this work around also fails after a couple of times. Is there another work around while keeping the data in SharePoint?

The error in Logic Apps:

{

  "error": {

    "code""InvalidRequest",

    "message""Invalid dataset refresh request. Number of refresh requests in last 24 hours exceeded limit"

  }

}

Hi , @MazterNiels

As mentioned by @aj1973  ,you can buy power bi premium removing restrictions on dataset sizes and refresh rates.

This document points out that  shared-capacity limitation for daily refreshes applies to both scheduled refreshes and API refreshes combined.

Datasets on a Premium capacity don't impose limitations for API refreshes.You could have a powershell script that runs on an automated basis to get what you need in that case.

Hi @MazterNiels

The only work around is to update to premium capacity
