How to view Power BI report in excel

Hi all

I have installed Power BI excel publisher and and it is working fine. I can see all the published dataset and reports name from excel. But when trying to open a report (Built in Power BI) in excel, it says you don't have any calculated measure in thi report. I does show all the fields in data set as Power Pivot fields.

so my question is : Can we view the reports in excel which are created in power BI desktop, published on power bi webservice ?

Thanks.

Hey,

using the add-in "Power BI Publisher for Excel" in Excel allows to connect to datasets hosted in the Power BI Service.

One feature is to connect to Power BI Report as a datasource instead of using a dataset. But unfortunately this doesn't mean your are able to watch or even better to interact with the Power BI reports.

It just means, it allows to connect to the dataset used by a report, this might be different from a "native" dataset due to the fact that it's possible to define measures upon a direct query or live connection dataset.

Hopefully this clarifies something

Regards
