How to use drill through functionality in one click from table

Hi Experts,

I am New to Power BI!

I am trying to achieve the functionality of a single one-click to pass the filter value from one page to another Or one report to another. But when we use the drill-through functionality it allows two ways i.e right click and Drill through button.

But I want to achieve the same functionality with a single click on a Text from the table visualization.

Is there any possibility or a way to achieve that? or any workaround using custom code/SDK or anything else. I have gone through the Hyperlink Workaround which is shown in below link but that is applied to the icon but I want to have it on a Text. Any suggestions on the same?

Thanks,

Amit

Hi @Anonymous ,

While using drill-through, it needs detailed data to filter the sencond page. So we need to click twice. For your requirement, I think you could try to create bookmarks and sync a slicer to filter the data.

(Note: it is not supported for bookmarks to cross reports )

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/visuals/power-bi-visualization-slicers#sync-and-use-slicers-on-other-pages

You could submit an idea about drill-through with a single click on Power BI Ideas

Hi @Anonymous ,

interessting question.

You can use also a button to drill-through.

Look at my sample demo report may be this will solve your problem 🙂

Hi @KBO

The solution which you provide is not on a single click. from your solution, users have to do 2 clicks to drill through to detail screen.

But I was looking for a single click solution.

Thanks,

Amit
