How to update the Data connector without impacting the tables and Schema

I want to move by Data source from Table Storage to Data explorer.  both the sources have the same tables so is there a way to update the source table storage to Data explorer without impacting the tables or graphs.

I tried by adding data explorer as another connector but it is re-loading/adding the tables on the report . please suggest

Hey @Anonymous ,

What I'm doing if I want to change the data source is the following:

  1. I create a new query in Power Query that connects to the new store, I add all the steps until I get the columns from the 1st table.
  2. Then I copy the steps from the the Advanced Editor and copy these steps to the existing query, of course I comment out the existing steps using //
  3. If there are subsesequent steps, I rename the reference to the "old" previous step to the new name (left from the equal sign
  4. I repeat the steps 1 - 3  for all tables/queries

Hopefully, this provides some ideas on how to tackle your challenge

Regards,

Tom
