Hello @v-rongtiep-msft
Thanks for your support it's really helped me, but I have more qustions.

I created a new app and add my report to it and test it by installing it and trying it. my questions are:
- How to create a parameter to allow the app users to import their excel file as a data set?
- How to make the app private for my clients only? (outside of my organization's domain) is there any way, for example, to give them a verification code to enter while they install the app to allow them to install it?

Thank you,

Hi @MohamedKamal ,

  1. Select Go to app.

The app opens, showing sample data.

  2. Select the Connect your data link on the banner at the top of the page.

This opens the parameters dialog, where you change the data source from the sample data to your own data source (see known limitations), followed by the authentication method dialog. You may have to redefine the values in these dialogs. See the documentation of the specific template app you're installing for details.

Power BI does not send any email to internal users when you distribute or update an app. If you distribute it to external users, those users receive an email with a direct link.

Please refer to the following document for more information.

https://docs.microsoft.com/power-bi/collaborate-share/service-create-distribute-apps

Hi @GilbertQ
Thanks for your response.
I think they should download Power BI desktop (what about mac users). Is any way to share it online? and make them upload their excel data source.

Hi @MohamedKamal

You would need to save it as a template and send them the PBIT.

You could also create a parameter for your data source, which could then be used to change the data source name in the Power BI Service (Depending on the data source you might need a gateway too)
