Hi Everyone,
I have been struggling to give users a same link to an specific report that was named as report.pbix with DirectQuery and now that I publish it with different mode and with the same name, that report wasn't replaced instead it was doubled , how to avoid that issue. Is there any posibility without using apps. In order to have the same previous sharing link
Solved! Go to Solution.
@Anonymous - Follow the steps-
1. Delete the duplicate one
2. Now hover over the original report and u'll get three ellipses like below, click on that and u'll get an option to rename.
3. Now rename with what you want and republish from Power BI Desktop.(PBIX file should have the same name what you provided in service.)
Appreciate your kudos!! Mark this post as solution if this helps.
@Anonymous - It will not change the link and would maintain the access and permissions to the users.

But will it change the link of the report or not?
